www.pbs.org – In seconds, a supertwister can leave immense swaths of death and destruction. But what if technology could help us tame nature’s most violent tornadoes?

Actually, there are occasionally tornadoes in Europe. I’ve seen pictures of damage from a high F3/low F4 in France and an F4, possibly F5 in Germany.

I live directly south of Moore Ok (15 miles) and the weather is insane here! Most active area for tornadoes in the world. The May 1999 F5 tornado tore the roads out of the ground. 300+ mph winds

Wow! Excellent Gary! Tell u what; I think the heart of the biggest tornado yet in Okla. will pick this neighborhood I’ve lived in for years…weird ‘wind’ quirks have always been here, but the bigger than the biggest yet makes sense as this strange knowledge of more knowledge brings explanation together. Weatherwise had become really strange last year or soon, some of which I filmned. I always wanted to see the very heart and middle of a tornado and be safe…Judy

Houses are built to resist the natural forces in that area. Europe doesn’t have “twisters,” at best you get a water spout. If a 250 kph wind gust came rooling through your area it would be 100 times worse! Have you ever seen houses in California? There built to resist earthquakes. Point is, it’s not the houses, it’s the weather. Europe homes are no stronger than American homes hands down. I’ve seen stone homes crumble in the weather over here! You should pay a visit and see for yourself.

I don’t think I would want to live in Moore, OK.
